Alfred gets the opportunity to work with Mr.Donatelli and become a boxer. He learns to never give up and the climbing is what makes the man, getting to the top is an extra reward.
The letter grade I would give “The Contender” from A-F is a B, because even though most of the book is action packed and very interesting the ending was not that great. I don’t know if I would say it’s a happy ending or a sad ending.
